The lovely start to this walk is through a peaceful barranco to the “Refugio Marnes”. Where a quick stop to admire the mules can be enjoyed before a short climb followed by a long flattish walk to reach the impressive Barranco del Baron. The barranco ends at a very picturesque area with an old well and ruin. This is followed by an uphill stretch which requires some path finding skills to arrive at a very pleasant grassy track. Now there is an easy walk through some interesting vineyards before reaching a paved track which traverses a cultivated valley. This is followed by a steep climb up to the saddle below Cau. Then short tracks and a long path down to the CV749 and car(s). The views are excellent and the wildflowers in spring and early summer make this a very pleasant walk.
